2019 Chiroubles Domaine Chapel

Kleine uiterzondering op de regel van Burgundy or NOWHERE 😅. Deze zeer noordelijk gelegen Cru uit de Beaujolais heeft wel een Bourgondisch karakter, d.w.z. elegant, verfijnd, gelaagd.

QTN Quick taste notes 1-2022:

2019 BIO, silky smooth carbonic rider. Silky Pinot feel to it. Elevated. Extremely comfortable wine. Beautiful balance between savory and red fruit and dark fruit. It has character but never in your face. Playful, some mushroom and forest at first but then the fruit takes control. Perfect amount of acidity. Stunning wine from high altitude slopes. it seems this has the most value per euro from their current range. 2021 also tasted from the tank, really fragile and only 11% alcohol but will be something great. Unfiltered with minimal SO2 addition.
