CHAMPAGNE MALINGRE
Extraordinary length!
Champagne Pierre MALINGRE is located in the small village of Prouilly, in the heart of the Massif de St Thierry. Their vineyard spans 9 hectares across approximately 30 plots in the villages of Prouilly, Trigny, Gueux, and Janvry. The oldest vines were planted in 1973. They cultivate the three Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Meunier, and Pinot Noir. The vines are grown with respect for traditions, terroir, and the environment. They also produce a very special Ratafia, which received attention from Jan Versteegh and Rámon Verkoeijen on their podcast "De Beste Smaak van Nederland." In 2023, they achieved certification for sustainable viticulture in Champagne. They recognize the need to take action to protect their vineyard and heritage. They have not used insecticides for over 20 years, allowing them to create very pure Champagnes with a beautiful expression of their terroir!
