We: Christopher, Avital and son Valentin have lived near Cluny, Mâcon, Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran for a number of years with our Chambres d'hôtes Maison Mazille and would like to share our findings with you.

Wat zeiden andere over deze wijn?
Fresh clouded yellow Chardonnay, mineral honeyed lemon on the nose and palate. Super clean but after a couple of secs creamy wax and savoury bbq smokiness surfaces whilst keeping this truly special elevated and tingly mouthfeel. Hint of fattiness for structure, mineral and salty finish. At higher temps it gets more herbal, I prefer it served cold from the fridge and let it develop with air and temp in a big glass with narrowed chimney.This is a storytelling wine that needs to be heard in comfort and silence.
Best classic Maconnais. Tourbillon heeft de nodige vulling, maar niet te tropisch (wel randje) en fijne frisheid. Drinkt wat makkelijker dan Beluses, die laatste is guller en meer gastronomisch.
Beluses versus tourbillon. Voorkeur gaat uit naar tourbillon. Is wat ranker, heeft wat kruidigheid/groens bij zich. Zorgt eigenlijk voor wat meer spanning. Dit is geen Maconnais zoals de meeste denken dat alles uit deze streek zou zijn. Tof glas!

Pale gold med transparency, with ripe summer stone fruit & melon aromas! A very clear crisp clean & smooth!balance! Lemon, green apple, sour peach pucker soothed with a blanket of chalk dust, silt & limestone! Ginger, white pepper, honey, lime! Syrupy, smooth & soothing! Pineapple-sour!
Concrete egg, very sophisticated and lively wine. Med-high acidity. Serve cold and you'll get a mineral, green apple and waxy lemon bomb. When warming up you'll get a more culinairy experience. Warm hay, herbal smoke, green tea, gunflint, gunpowder, fresh yellow fruit and tingly citrus. Still looking for the right herbal discription, can't put my finger on it. Feels more airy/elevated then your average Mâcon and a bit more Burgundian. Active tingly mineral and salty finish that works best with some food.
Belle robe jaune pâle. Bouquet doux d'agrumes. Corps vif, peu sucré, très fruité. Belles notes de pommes vertes et de pamplemousse. Corps frais, vraiment vert et jeune. Superbe découverte.
Geschonken op keldertemperatuur. Geelkoperen reflecties in het glas, direct al vrij geopend, honing, cashewnoten, lucifers, galia meloen en sterfruit. Veel frisheid, uitbundig en vol van smaak. Tintelend in de afdronk. Goed voorbeeld van de uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhoudingen in de Mâconnais. Rebuy: Oui!

Most of our range carries the HVE, BIO, DEMETER quality mark. In addition, emotion per euro is at the top of our checklist. Elegance above all, but of course we also look for other styles within Burgundy because everyone's taste is different. The use of wood should never overpower but should play a supporting role. Minerality is the most beautiful form of giving freshness to a buttery Burgundy. Finding the ultimate balance between these elements is the greatest challenge I know.
HVE, Haute Valeur Environnementale emphasizes various sustainability aspects, with an emphasis on promoting biodiversity in vineyards. The HVE logo on a wine bottle does not automatically indicate that it is organic wine, unless the wine is actually certified organic. Nevertheless, the logo signals the vintner's commitment to sustainable vineyard management.
In organic and biodynamic (DEMETER) viticulture, chemical pesticides and fertilizers are prohibited, which is not only more environmentally friendly, but also promotes the quality and vitality of both the vine and the soil. Organic viticulture, with traditional craftsmanship, results in wines of higher quality, more complexity and terroir expression. Biodynamic winegrowers integrate cosmic influences such as the position of the moon and stars, use special preparations as an alternative to fertilizers, and place even more emphasis on biodiversity in the vineyard.
