A highly sought-after Red Burgundy Pinot Fin, not Noir. Delightfully warm, meaty, furry, animalistic, and leathery. Herbaceous and concentrated Gevrey-like texture elements. Rich, enchanting roses on the nose. But for now, quite sweet in its youth (written in 2020). Intense sweet red fruit. High concentration. Full of power. Spicy, peppery finish. A bit on the playful sweeter side with significant acidity. It needs something meaty for food pairing and more aging. Pinot Fin is an old clone of Pinot Noir, now very rarely found in Burgundy. Nowadays, the notoriously finicky Pinot Fin is rarely planted and can only be found in certain parts of Burgundy. It produces very small berries, which makes the wines more valuable due to their low yield. They exhibit a lovely weight with rich red berries/cherry fruit, a touch of wildness, and delicate wild mushroom notes.
